Professor Newton is a Visiting Professor of Business Strategy at the Royal Agricultural College where he was previously Dean of the Business School and Vice Principal of the College. He also teaches at the Open University Business School, Oxford Brookes University and Hartpury College (a college of UWE). Formerly he tutored at the universities of Leeds, Teesside and Bradford. Since 1996, he has run his own educational and management consultancy firm; his clients include the World Bank, various European Union and national government departments, the British Council, Price Waterhouse, Barclays Bank, the UK Association of Colleges, and a number of UK and international universities and colleges. He has a wide range of research interests and publications currently focussing upon international business strategy in the agribusiness sector, international trade, market entry strategies, organisational structures, international investment and the operation of the multinational corporation.
