Allam Ahmed is the Founding President of World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) and all its journals. He holds a PhD in Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development from Edinburgh Napier University (UK); awarded the Royal Agricultural College (UK) Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation and he is a Fellow (FCIM) and Chartered Marketer (CM) of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). Following several senior lecturing appointments in Edinburgh, London & Sussex (world leader in research, consultancy and teaching in the field of Science Technology and Innovation Policy), Allam has been appointed by the Government of Abu Dhabi to lead the first of its kind Knowledge Management Framework (Musharaka) in the Middle East. Allam worked extensively for the United Nations; World Bank; Expert Advisor to the European Commission on International Scientific Cooperation; International Coordinator UNESCO Chair on Transfer of Technology (UNESCOTT); Scientific and Knowledge Transfer Advisor to several Universities, Ministers and companies across the world. He has substantial experience in research and teaching in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and for more than 18 years, Allam has led seminars and workshops in KM, technology management, TT and commercialisation; strategic planning; marketing; management, leadership development, etc. He published widely on how knowledge and technology transfer (TT) contribute to SD and competitiveness in the developing countries (DCs). He produced more than 120 publications (including 12 books) and serves on the Editorial Board of eight international journals in S&T, SD, KM, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, Strategy & International Business. He is the recipient of several international Awards and Medals for contribution to International Scientific Research and listed in the WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 published by Marquis Who's Who, USA. He has consulted and provided advisory services for several major public and private institutions and Allam is an Expert Referee for the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), The Dutch Research Council, Oxford University Press, and several Universities and Ministers and companies all over the world.
