Dr. Kamal Abdelgadir Ahmed, Undersecretary, Federal Ministry of Health, Sudan

Dr. Ahmed is a medical graduate of the University of Khartoum in Sudan, an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist by training and a fellow of the Royal College of OBS/GYN of the UK. He worked as a specialist consultant in the field of infertility treatment in Bournemouth in UK, before finally returning to settle in Sudan. The area of his special interest, in addition to his main speciality in infertility treatment, is Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development for the working physicians. His interest in promoting medical education is made especially important following his new administrative rules in Sudan. He is currently the undersecretary for the Federal Ministry of Health in Sudan, and actively involved in the strategic planning of health services and the development of quality and sustainable medical profession in Sudan.
