Mr. Abdul Razak is a well-established and experienced banker with a wealth of experience and understanding of the banking industry in the gulf region. He has held quite a number of senior positions in the Kingdom of Bahrain including more than 10 years leading position as the General Manager of National Bank of Bahrain. Mr. Abdul Razak holds a Master’s Degree in Management Sciences and a Sloan Fellowship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. Prior to the NBB Mr. Abdul Razak worked for nine years with Standard Chartered Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Abdul Razak is the Chairman of “Benefit” Network Company; Chairman, Corporate Governance Committee, Ministry of Commerce; Deputy Chairman and Executive Committee, Oasis Capital Bank B.S.C.; Board Member & Investment Committee Member, Esterad Investment Company; Board Member, Housing Bank; Board Member and Executive Committee Member, Bahrain Telecommunication Company; Board Member and Executive Committee Member, Bahrain Duty Free Company; Board Member, Executive Committee Chairman and Chairman of Board of Trustee, The Arab Academic for Education & Research Company; Member of Deposit Protection Scheme, Central Bank of Bahrain; etc.
