The global financial crisis has affected credit flows towards various groups of firms to different degrees, depending on their size, location and riskiness. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continued innovation is critical for survival, in such a context, SMEs are particularly vulnerable to the availability of capital capacity.
